David Olayinka, Akure
A former governor of Ondo State, Mr. Agboola Ajayi, has won the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party held in the state on Thursday.
He polled a total 264 votes to defeat other aspirants at the indirect primary election.
Other aspirants are, Akinjo Kolade Victor, who polled 157 votes; Ebiseni N Olusola (99); Akinwumi A .Arize (64); Akingboye Bamidele (24); Ola John Mafo (09) and Arebuwa Tubosun, who scored two votes.
With the result, Ajay, a former member of the National Assembly, will fly the party’s ticket in the November 2024 governorship election in the sunshine state.
